About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Parts Inventory Controller to join our team in Midrand, Gauteng. As an OEM Level controller, you will be responsible for ensuring parts stock availability for our dealer network and driving business growth through effective inventory management and relationship building.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure parts stock availability for dealer network through movement category analysis
- Reduce warehouse ageing stock effectively
- Investigate and resolve dealer parts supply discrepancy claims
- Obtain and provide accurate parts ETA information to dealers
- Maintain strong relationships with dealer networks
- Support dealers to generate parts sales revenue
- Attend management meetings regularly
- Implement strategies to reduce VOR back orders and meet CSI targets
- Provide professional support to dealers for market understanding and business/marketing plan development
- Adapt flexibly to evolving business needs
- Exhibit strong analysis and problem-solving skills
- Communicate clear and consistent instructions
- Demonstrate excellent people management skills
- Act as a self-starter with excellent follow-through on queries and tasks
- Operate effectively under pressure with great attention to detail
- Provide proactive leadership with sound judgment in decision-making
Requirements
- Supply Chain Diploma
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in automotive industry at dealership or OEM level
- Exposure to senior dealership personnel including Dealer Principals (DPs) and Franchise Executives
- Proven expertise in Parts Inventory Control and ETA management
- Understanding of automotive industry segments and parts operations
- Familiarity with OEM or Dealer DMS/WMS systems
- Strong people management and teamwork skills
- Self-management and strong organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Office suite
