Roles and Responsibilities
Electrical trouble shooting knowledge
Conducting electronic inspections and tests
Installing and maintaining electrical systems
Knowledge of electrical power systems
Reading electrical blueprints and schematic drawings
Maintain records and repair logs
Troubleshooting and repair
Attend to electrical breakdowns in the manufacturing area
Install new electrical systems
Grounding electrical systems
Sound knowledge of industrial electronics
Test, program and maintain AC and DC drives.
Knowledge and understanding of sensors and related equipment
Fault finding and repairing to automated industrial manufacturing machines
Assist with electrical project installations
Cleaning circuit boards and contacts
Perform electrical maintenance inspections
Connect electrical power to industrial equipment
Maintain a clean and safe workplace
Perform general electrical maintenance
Write technical narratives and proposals
 
Qualifications:
Recognised electrical trade and trade test
Minimum N4 Electrical certificate
Relevant supporting electrical courses
