· Listen and react to complaints, suggestions, and problems. · Report concerns and suggestions for management. · Building relationships and encouraging interaction amongst team members. · Interacting with all Shift Setters and reporting on production issues experienced. · Comply with Multotecs safety standards. · Ensure validity of licenses for all operators and inform supervisors of renewals. · Reduce the chances of injuries by reporting any dangerous condition or act to supervisor of safety reps. · Ensure proper housekeeping in the department is upheld. · Maintain Multotecs quality standards and in process quality control. · Ensure defects are identified early and corrective measures are taken timeously. · Ensure the material WIP is stored in the allocated area. · Ensure sufficient material is available for the shift. · Monitor and maintain acceptable levels of consumable consumption within the department. · Use a forklift to move material. · Ensure operators log onto the IMPI system and run according to the IMPI schedule. · Ensure the recording of waste and mold changes on the IMPI system. · Ensure the upkeep of machines in an operational condition and weekly lubrication of machine points. · Assist with machine breakdowns and maintenance. · Ensure tools are kept clean and in proper working order and correct handling and storage of all tools. · Ensure the machines are set using the correct pressure, speed, materials, and tooling. · Ensure all aspects of the MDW program are adhered to. · Attend daily MDW meetings. · Confirm waste is recorded accurately and make sure waste is placed in the correct area. · Operate the forklift or crane to move heavy machine parts or products. At least 2 years working experience in a manufacturing environment. Forklift Licence Safety and Quality Orientated, Good Attention to Detail and Problem-Solving Skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used in machine setup and maintenance.
