Job Summary

Purpose of Role:
The Key Account Manager will also bring in new business from existing clients or contacts and will develop new relationships with potential clients.

Location: Phoenix Industrial Park

Industry: Exposure to Tissue/ Paper manufacturing environment will be advantageous

Availability – Immediate

Education and experience requirements

  • Must have Grade 12, Matric or NQF4 equivalent qualification. 
  • A relevant tertiary qualification / Diploma /other
  • The completion of a project management related course will be advantageous
  • At least 5 years sales and customer service experience or within a similar role in a fast-paced environment
  • Exposure to Tissue/ Paper manufacturing environment will be advantageous
  • Own vehicle 
  • A clear criminal record

 
Skills and competency requirements

  • Experience in managing a client database with face-to-face interaction
  • Ability to critically analyse situations and have a keen interest in technical operations
  • Good planning and time management skills is essential
  • Must have sound communication and inter-personal skills
  • Problem solving and well-developed decision-making abilities is essential
  • Excellent computer knowledge (All MS Office Packages)
  • The ability to multi–task and to work independently under pressure
  • Knowledge of sales or activity reports
  • Must have a track record of high-performance standards and have a culture of discipline instilled
  • Must be able to work flexible hours from time to time in order to meet client expectations

Responsibilities

  • New Business development – negotiating with clients for trading terms
  • Meeting all client’s needs and deliverables according to proposed timelines
  • Analyzing client data to provide customer relationship management
  • Maintain sound relations with all clients by developing a solid and trusting relationship between major key clients and company
  • Resolving key client issues and complaints
  • Developing a complete understanding of key account needs
  • Anticipating key account changes and improvements
  • Keeping abreast with the market trends
  • Track all work through the production process to ensure client deadlines are met
  • Provide account management services to clients, including planning and organising of production schedules.
  • Recommendation of system and process improvement as and when required
  • Adherence to all guidelines and standards relating the key accounts management function

Job Summary

Seek opportunities to grow the companys Customer base in existing and new markets Research and gather appropriate information on target markets Ensure that call cycles are being adhered to Represent the Company at various tradeshows Maintain a well-informed working knowledge of all product ranges, production workflow, warrantee, and guarantee, etc. Generate sales reports including all booking reports and other daily, weekly, monthly and annual reporting Follow up and on-going sales relationships with qualified Clients to ensure ROI of attended tradeshows Manage support staff including monitoring of assignments, productivity Control Spiv Reports to key Customers Renegotiate FY rebates with key Customers Roll out when price increases when due to team & Customers Control resource effectively to support customer delivery requirements and Lean Manufacturing principles Conduct incident and non-conformity investigations and associated reporting and action closure.
