Job Summary
Responsibilities:
The Food Service and Hospitality Supervisor must oversee the front of house activities and the operations of the Guesthouse To ensuring that service delivery and servings runs efficiently and effectively To manage shifts and ensure that serving of food and provision of hospitality services are done efficiently and effectively managed To check event calendar entries and to ensure that requirements are fulfilled To maintain good behaviour and discipline amongst the team in the guesthouse The liaise with the Hospitality Management team regarding rotations and staff requirements To arrange and attend functions and events To arrange the planning, hosting and managing of internal and external events, functions and hospitality To maintain inventories of all equipment, and to manage stock To conduct the stock take, stock control and to coordinate and manage the administrative requirements To ensure that the stores are kept tidy and neat Inherent requirements for the position Excellent communication skills A strong commitment towards quality and service Good problem-solving skills Reliable and dependable Ability to work independently and to work under pressure in a challenging environment Attention to detail Achievement driven Assertive and stress handling and coping capability Good people management skills motivating, developing and directing team members and identifying the best people for the job Physical ability to set up events, move furniture and other equipment and load and unload catering requirements Good organisational skills ability to think quickly and adapt to changing situations To be presentable, clean and professional and to maintain high standards of personal cleanliness and personal hygiene The willingness and ability to be flexible in working hours including the ability to work evenings and weekends Applicants who fulfil the abovementioned requirements are invited to apply for the position by following the link and registering your application on-line and by submitting an electronic application on the link below:
