Remove and replace Pallman blades. Manufacture machine parts using the turning and lathe machine. Assists the maintenance fitter or electrician as instructed with welding, stripping, fitting, cleaning components, cutting, assembling, painting etc. Make sure of suitable moving equipment (Front-end loader, reach truck, forklift etc) Full adherence to safety standards. Accurately complete all necessary documentation on time. Qualification Grade 12 Qualified Fitter/ relevant trade test certificate with minimum of N3- an advantage. Experience Required Experience in maintenance- 2 years Experience in operation and maintaining other equipment e.g. conveyors, pumps, pipelines, boilers etc. Practical knowledge and experience of lathe work (tuning), welding and machining Skills/ Qualities/ Values Strong analytical skills Problem solving High numeracy skills Effective communication Interpersonal skills Continuous learning Must be prepared to work overtime when required Able to work in a team Able to work under pressure Attention to detail, innovative and quality orientated Able to do a call out/ standby when required Other: South African.
