Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a Camp Chef for a Luxury Safari Camp located in the Kalahari.

This is a live-in position suited to a passionate and adaptable chef who is comfortable working in a remote safari environment and delivering high-quality meals for guests and staff.

Role Overview

• Preparing and presenting daily meals for guests in line with luxury safari camp standards

• Catering for a variety of dietary requirements and preferences

• Planning menus, ordering supplies and managing stock levels

• Maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety

• Managing kitchen costs and minimising waste

• Preparing staff meals as required

• Working closely with camp management to ensure smooth daily operations

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Camp Chef or in a similar lodge or remote environment

• Strong cooking skills with the ability to work independently

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards

• Good organisational and time-management skills

• Flexible, hands-on attitude suited to camp life

• Ability to work under pressure with limited resources

Package

• Salary: R10,000 R15,000, negotiable dependent on experience

• Live-in position
