Job Description

Minimum requirements for the role: Minimum matric is essential for the role. A tertiary qualification is preferred but not essential. Previous experience having worked as an internal sales or customer services administrator or related role within the chemical or plastics or related markets is preferred for the role. The successful candidate must be computer literate and ideally have experience working with SAP or Oracle or a related ERP System. The successful candidate must have good communication skills and be proactive and self-motivated. Must have good conflict resolution and problem-solving skills. Must be methodological and have accurate work ethic. Previous experience having assisted the procurement of raw materials as well as the shipping of product from international countries into SA is preferred. Training is provided if the person does not have any experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Processing customer orders, coordinating sales administration, providing customer service, and supporting the external sales team. This role is to ensure smooth communication between customers, production, logistics, and sales to meet business and client objectives efficiently. Liaising with customers regarding raw material chemical products they have ordered and making sure that customers are kept up to date on delivery. Maintaining backorders and opening orders on a daily basis and ensuring external sales are kept informed of any developments that are relevant to their customers. Attending weekly divisional meetings with Sales Staff and senior management. Ensuring that all customer complaints, issues and queries are dealt with timeously. Monitoring stock levels to meet customers needs, including reserved stock. Assisting with quotations and monthly pricing. Assisting with the procurement of chemical raw materials from International Suppliers ensuring that the raw materials are procured and delivered timeously. Communicating with customers with regards to order status, stock availability pricing etc. Liaising with transport companies and shipping companies to ensure that export orders placed internationally are shipped on time to SA. Receiving and processing customer orders on the ERP or internal sales system and coordinating with production and logistics for on-time delivery. Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
