Job Summary
Hire Resolve’s client, a leading law firm in Cape Town, is currently seeking a Legal Secretary to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the legal team and ensure the smooth running of the office.
Responsibilities
- Dealing with all aspects of secretarial nature and knowledge of litigation work, dealing with pleadings
- Provide administrative support to the legal team and ensure the smooth running of the office.
- Draft and prepare legal documents, such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, contracts, and agreements
- Organize and maintain legal files and documents, ensuring accuracy and accessibility
- Schedule appointments, hearings, and meetings for attorneys and clients
- Conduct legal research using online databases and other resources
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and closings
- 5 years minimum experience in law environment,
- Relevant Degree or Diploma/ Paralegal or Similar
- Experience in litigation work, excellent language, writing skills
- Proficiency in MS Office suite
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
- Salary: R144K/yr – R204K/yr, salary negotiable
