Qualifications FGASA Field Guide or Game Ranger certification (preferred). Tracking qualification (advantageous). Valid drivers license and PDP (for guest activities). Firearm competency certificate (if carrying a rifle for dangerous game areas). First Aid Level 1 or higher (essential). Experience 13 years as a Game Ranger, Field Guide, or Conservation Officer. Experience with wildlife monitoring, patrols, and guest guiding advantageous. Exposure to reserve management, land care, or ecological projects is beneficial. Technical Skills Strong wildlife identification and tracking skills. Knowledge of conservation practices, habitats, and ecosystems. Ability to operate 4×4 vehicles and basic mechanical understanding. Radio communication and GPS/navigation skills. Firearm handling (if applicable to the reserve). Core Competencies Strong observational skills and situational awareness.
