Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present a variety of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
- Work closely with the Executive Pastry Chef to develop new and innovative pastry concepts and menus.
- Maintain consistency in product quality and presentation, ensuring all pastries meet the hotel’s 5-star standards.
- Supervise and train junior pastry staff, ensuring proper techniques and safety standards are followed.
- Ensure the kitchen is stocked with necessary ingredients and supplies, managing inventory efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to hygiene and safety regulations.
- Assist in managing food costs and minimizing waste while ensuring quality production.
- Collaborate with the broader kitchen team to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie or in a similar role in a fine dining or 5-star hotel environment.
- Strong expertise in pastry techniques, dessert preparation, and baking.
- A passion for pastry arts with a creative flair and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience in pastry and baking.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
