Employer Description Game Lodge Job Description We are seeking 2 experienced Horseback Guides to join a dynamic guiding team at a well-established lodge. Key Responsibilities: Conduct guided horseback safaris with guests, ensuring safety and enjoyment at all times Interpret and share knowledge of local wildlife, ecology and conservation practices Care for and manage horses, including feeding, grooming and monitoring health Assist with general lodge guiding activities, such as bush walks or game drives when required Deliver excellent guest service, handling queries and creating memorable experiences Maintain safety standards and adhere to lodge protocols during all activities Support conservation initiatives and promote responsible tourism practices Qualifications 2-3 years experience Minimum CATHSSETA NQF Level 2 qualification Valid First Aid Level 1 (minimum) Valid PDP (Professional Driving Permit) Valid driver’s license Registered with FGASA or equivalent guiding body (advantageous) Proven ability to ride and handle horses confidently Skills Strong guest relations skills and a passion for delivering memorable safari experiences Professional, reliable and safety-conscious Benefits Live-in accommodation, meals provided while on duty and tips
