Job Summary
Join a nationally recognised food processing company as a key player in their Cold Store, Dispatch, and Logistics Department. This role offers the chance to lead a large shift-based team while driving process efficiency, compliance, and cold chain excellence. You will report directly to the National Logistics Manager and play a central role in maintaining operational integrity across day and night operations.
Education:
- Matric (Grade 12) – Essential
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Logistics, Operations Management, or related field – Advantageous
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Proven experience in cold storage and logistics management, preferably within food processing
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and best practices
- Sound understanding and enforcement of SOPs and disciplinary protocols
- Experience managing shift-based teams across operations
- Excellent leadership, planning, and team coordination skills
- Proficiency in stock control, recordkeeping, and systems such as Excel and email
- Comfortable working in a cold environment and under pressure
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Process improvement mindset and problem-solving ability
