• Repair and maintain HV and LV substations.
• Oversee maintenance of electrical equipment, generators, and emergency systems.
• Ensure proper functioning of ABB drives.
• Supervise calibration processes for scales, bin weight systems, and maintain records.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for frequent equipment failures.
• Address process failures due to equipment malfunctions to ensure operational continuity.
• Maintain and improve cross-functional relationships with stakeholders.
• Provide guidance to the Superintendent, E&I, and Technicians on maintenance-related issues.
• Compile weekly and monthly maintenance reports.
• Perform safety audits of electrical personnel and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
• Optimize preventive maintenance (PM) plans for electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Manage spare parts inventory and control.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation Engineering.

Experience:

• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in electrical and instrumentation supervision, preferably in a heavy industry or steel plant environment.
• Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience with a total of 8 years of industry experience.
• Experience with Variable Speed Drives (VSD) is critical.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong analytical, supervisory, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting major system failures and equipment malfunctions.
• Knowledge of HV systems and protection systems.
• Experience with motors, electrical equipment, and ABB drives.
• Understanding of electrical safety requirements and standards.
• Expertise in plant instrumentation, fault-finding, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of variable speed drives and SIMOCODE.
• Ability to interpret electrical wiring diagrams and single-line diagrams.
• Familiarity with MCC components, VSDs, cabling, lighting, and control valves.
• Experience with pneumatic networks, analyzers calibration, and troubleshooting (CO, O2, etc.).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
