Job Purpose:

The Counter is responsible for accurately counting, verifying, and recording stock quantities during stock takes and cycle counts. The role requires strong attention to detail, good numerical skills, and prior experience in stock counting or stock taking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate physical counting of stock during stock takes and audits

• Verify stock quantities against system or manual records

• Identify and report discrepancies, damages, or shortages

• Assist with cycle counts and ad-hoc stock checks as required

• Ensure correct labelling and organization of counted stock

• Maintain accurate counting records and documentation

• Follow company procedures and health & safety standards

• Work effectively as part of a stock take or warehouse team

Minimum Requirements:

• Proven experience in stock taking or stock counting

• Good counting and basic numerical skills

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently

• Good communication skills

Advantageous:

• Previous experience as a General Worker in a warehouse or retail environment

• Exposure to inventory control or stock management systems
