Purpose of the Role
To safely and efficiently operate forklifts for the loading, offloading, movement, and storage of cargo within the airport warehouse environment, including cold storage areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to load, unload, stack, and move cargo and pallets
• Handle airfreight cargo in accordance with airport and safety regulations
• Ensure correct placement of goods in warehouse and cold storage areas
• Conduct daily forklift inspections and report faults
• Maintain accurate records of cargo movement
• Adhere to health, safety, and security procedures at all times
• Assist with general warehouse duties when required

Minimum Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Valid forklift license (essential)
• 2–3 years’ experience as a forklift driver
• Warehouse experience (cargo or logistics environment preferred)
• Cold storage experience (advantageous)
• Physically fit and able to work shifts
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Must have ACSA permit
