About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Anti-Poaching Unit Manager for a prestigious luxury game reserve in Namibia. This live-in, senior operational role offers a salary of N$50,000 (negotiable depending on experience) and provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in conservation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the anti-poaching unit in accordance with law enforcement/security legislation
- Develop and implement effective counter-poaching strategies
- Lead multi-disciplinary field teams in remote, high-pressure settings
- Collaborate with K9 units, aerial surveillance (drones), and intelligence operations to combat wildlife crime
- Conduct arrest and apprehension procedures as required
- Maintain accurate records of data collection, GPS data, mapping, and analysis
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ senior experience in Counter Poaching Unit Management or equivalent military/security industry role in a high-risk conservation area
- Tertiary qualification in wildlife conservation, natural resource management, security operations or a related field
- Sound knowledge of law enforcement/security legislation; experience with arrest and apprehension procedures, particularly in wildlife crime
