About the Role
The General Manager: Sales and Operations is a critical leadership position responsible for driving revenue growth, operational efficiency, and service delivery in a fast-paced SME logistics environment. This role requires a highly hands-on leader who can bridge strategy and execution to ensure commercial commitments are operationally feasible, profitable, compliant, and safely delivered.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive private pillar sales growth and optimise fleet and warehouse operations
- Manage independent contractors and implement practical systems, controls, and policies to support scalable growth
- Build competent, accountable sales and operations teams and put in place structures, processes, and controls for sustainable growth
- Provide commercial oversight to ensure sales commitments are operationally achievable, profitable, and delivered consistently
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Management, or related field
- Minimum 10 years experience in logistics, transport, or supply chain
- Demonstrated leadership across both sales and operations
- Demonstrated success in building and managing operational teams
- Strong exposure to fleet, inventory, warehousing, and contractor management
