About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Senior System Analyst to join our team in Midrand. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for analyzing complex business problems and developing data-driven solutions that drive business growth and improvement. With a strong background in statistics, machine learning, and predictive analytics, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and document requirements, create functional specifications, and implement models that meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform problem analysis to understand underlying causes, factors, and implications
- Develop insights and identify requirements for solutions
- Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to understand data patterns, trends, and relationships
- Develop or know about implementing statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and predictive analytics techniques to extract insights surrounding the business requirements
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team of business analysts, UI analysts, and domain experts to define and document requirements
- Create Entity-Relationship Diagrams to visually represent entities, attributes, and relationships in the system
Requirements
- Experience in problem-solving and root cause analysis
- Exposure to the utility industry is advantageous but not required
- Proven record of experience with data manipulation, data visualization, and statistical analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas)
- Proven application of machine learning frameworks and statistical modeling techniques
- At least 3 years of experience as a senior System analyst
- At least 2 years of experience leading a team
Qualifications
- Domain-relevant certifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
