About the Role
Gijima Holdings is seeking an experienced Technical Team Lead to manage and maintain enterprise backup solutions for our clients. As a leader in the IT industry, we require a professional with hands-on expertise in Veritas NetBackup, Commvault, Veeam, and other secondary tools. The ideal candidate will have 8-10+ years of experience in enterprise backup operations, including 3-5 years in a leadership role managing teams of 5-10 engineers across multiple clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of backup engineers and administrators supporting diverse client backup environments 24x7x365 days.
- Manage and maintain enterprise backup solutions, such as Veritas NetBackup, Commvault, Veeam, or similar platforms.
- Develop, implement, and enforce backup policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Coordinate and execute backup and disaster recovery strategies tailored for each client’s environment and business needs.
Requirements
- 8-10+ years in enterprise backup operations
- 3-5 years in a leadership role managing teams of 5-10 engineers across multiple clients.
- Hands-on expertise with Veritas NetBackup (upgrades, troubleshooting, replication), Commvault (CommServe migrations, encryption keystore management, database restores), and secondary tools like Veeam.
- Proven track record managing backup infrastructure for 20+ sites or clients, including media servers, tape libraries, deduplication (DDB).
- Experience in database backups/recoveries for Oracle (RMAN), SAP, MSSQL, integrated with VMware virtualization and Linux/Windows environments.

- Commvault Certified Professional
- NetBackup v10.x or higher
- VMware Training (Advantageous)
