About the Role

IGT, a global leader in the gaming industry, is seeking a trainee customer service representative in its Midrand-based logistics department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring seamless order processing and fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and respond to customer inquiries, orders, and quotes within terms and conditions applicable.
  • Monitor and coordinate the progress of quotes and orders to ensure agreed delivery times are met.
  • Generate shipping and invoice paperwork for approved orders and send to customers as available.
  • Schedule and arrange shipment of subsequent orders, including tracking and tracing, and follow up if required.
  • Provide shipment information and details to customers upon availability.
  • Control backorders and expedite deliveries in a timely manner while keeping customers informed.
  • Verify and approve parts freight invoices where applicable and invoice customers.
  • Maintain and report value contracts in accordance with terms and conditions.
  • Respond to customer complaints and issues in a timely and commercial manner.
  • Accurately file all customer-related documentation and correspondence.
  • Create and maintain part item masters and pricing for customer orders in the database according to company policy.
  • Liaise with logistics department staff to establish efficient order control and effective customer service processes.
  • Maintain customers’ contact information, requirements, and profiles in the database.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of customer service and admin work experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Fluent written and spoken English required; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
  • Service-minded and commercial attitude required.
  • Good working knowledge of MS office tools required.
  • Advanced level of knowledge required for general gaming industry products, customer service, and basic knowledge on transportation requirements.
