Our client is looking for a skilled and passionate couple to join their picturesque guest farm in a tranquil, remote setting near Montagu. One partner will take on the role of Landscaper, enhancing the natural beauty of the gardens and engaging guests, while the other will serve as Housekeeper, ensuring the property is impeccably clean and welcoming. This is a unique opportunity for a couple who share a love for outdoor work, hospitality, and creating memorable guest experiences. Location: Ouberg – 25km outside Montagu Accommodation: Provided for the couple Key Responsibilities Landscaper Maintain and clean stone paths, flower beds, dams, and water channels. Identify and manage weed control, differentiating between plants, seedlings, and weeds. Perform general garden maintenance, including planting, feeding, watering, and pest control. Share knowledge about the garden and its features with guests to enhance their experience. Key Responsibilities Housekeeper Clean and maintain guest rooms, including bed-making, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitising bathrooms. Restock amenities such as toiletries, towels, and linens. Draft and communicate weekly shopping lists for housekeeping and supplies. Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests to ensure their needs are met. Oversee and manage the lodge’s housekeeping operations on a day-to-day basis. Maintain strict hygiene standards throughout the property, meeting business and guest expectations. Familiarise yourself with operational manuals and house rules, ensuring accurate implementation of guidelines and menus. Applicant Requirements Landscaper Fluent in English & Afrikaans (advantagous). A qualification in agriculture or horticulture is advantageous. At least 4 years of practical gardening experience. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a team and uphold high standards. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Passion for indigenous plants and a deep respect for nature. Valid driver’s licence. Applicant Requirements Housekeeper Fluent in English & Afrikaans (advantagous). 3–5 years of relevant hospitality experience in a similar role. Good knowledge of food and hospitality operations. Valid driver’s licence.
