Job Description

TWK Agri has the following vacancy available: Forestry Planner within the Timber division at Piet Retief, Mpumalanga. Job Summary This role involves processing and maintaining spatial data, generating maps and reports, ensuring data quality, and providing GIS support to internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities and Duties Process, analyse and model GIS data for Forestry applications Ensure ongoing quality assurance, maintenance and distribution of spatial data Provide support to end-users by generating maps, GIS reports and information products Compile and organise GIS data from maps, databases and other sources Convert mapping resources and data into usable formats Perform quality control on data collection projects Handle general enquiries and market GIS products to clients Produce high-quality maps for various purposes Digitise data from aerial photography and satellite imagery as needed Collect field data to support analysis and decision-making Maintain and monitor timber delivery traceability records, ensuring accurate tracking from plantation to final destination in accordance with company and regulatory requirements Qualifications and Skills Matric / Grade 12 Tertiary qualification in GIS, Geography, Cartography or Surveying (advantageous) 1-3 years experience in a similar role Proficient in GIS software (ArcGIS or QGIS) Bilingual (Afrikaans and English) Ability to work under pressure Ability to work independently Understanding of farming practices and related aspects Take the next step in your career with TWK Agri, a trusted leader in agriculture and beyond. *The company can expire job adverts at any time at their own discretion.
