Job Description

About the Role

GAP Consulting is seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician to join our team in Mpumalanga. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance, fault finding, and repair of high-speed converting machinery.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine mechanical maintenance on equipment
Identify and troubleshoot faults in rewinders, embossers, slitters, wrappers, and palletizing systems
Conduct repairs and replacements as necessary
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities

Requirements

Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience as a Mechanical Technician in the Tissue Converting or FMCG Manufacturing Industry
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Mechatronics required
Proficient in Mechanical Maintenance, Fault Finding, and Repair of high-speed converting machinery essential
Strong knowledge of rewinders, embossers, slitters, wrappers, and palletizing systems beneficial
Valid Driver’s License and own Transport required

Qualifications

Completed Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Mechatronics

Salary & Benefits

Basic Salary of between R 20 000 and R 25 000 negotiable based on experience
