Job Description

PPIT is Looking for an External Sales Executive whose primary function is to build customer relationships. External Sales Executives have broad responsibilities related to customer service, sales, marketing, and public relations. They are the “face” of a company and help bring in new business and retain existing clients and reports to the Sales Manager. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Meet and exceed sales targets by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, as well as maintaining and growing existing accounts Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers within client organizations. Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to prospective clients and effectively communicate the value of our products and services. Negotiate contracts and close deals with clients, ensuring all terms and conditions are clearly defined and agreed upon. Collaborate with other departments within the company, such as marketing, technical and product development, to ensure alignment and achieve sales goals. Stay up to date on industry trends and developments and use this knowledge to identify new sales opportunities. Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and customer interactions in our CRM system. Attend industry conferences and events to build relationships with prospective clients. Updated Certifications in the field of Microsoft or other relevant programs are required. All other tasks reasonably necessary to fulfil the above function, of as an External Sales Executive, and compliance with all other reasonable instructions given by the employer. Willing to travel, be prepared to perform overtime work Key Focus Areas Sales Pipeline Management: Proactively manage and track the sales pipeline by continuously following up on leads, updating opportunity stages, and forecasting potential closures. Sales Strategy Development: Regularly analyse market conditions, competition, and customer feedback to adjust and optimize sales strategies and target approaches. Performance Metrics: Track personal performance metrics, such as daily/weekly targets, conversion rates, and average deal size, ensuring alignment with quarterly and annual sales goals. Client Relationship Management Regular Client Check-ins: Schedule and conduct routine meetings with clients to review their current needs, offer solutions, and ensure they are satisfied with the companys products/services. Client Feedback Loop: Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams, providing feedback from clients regarding product improvements or service enhancements. Customized Solutions: Tailor product offerings and presentations based on each client’s unique business challenges and objectives, ensuring solutions align with their strategic goals. Cross-department Collaboration Marketing Alignment: Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns, promotions, and content that support lead generation and client retention efforts. Product Development Feedback: Provide regular input to the product development team based on customer feedback and market trends, ensuring product updates align with client needs. Joint Problem-Solving: Work with the customer service and technical support teams to resolve any client issues swiftly and maintain a seamless customer experience across departments. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Matric is essential, Diploma or NQF Level 5 is Beneficial Driver’s Licence (Essential) Own Vehicle (Essential) PREFERRED SKILLS Should have proven excellence as External Sales Executive or in another relevant position Professional experience in a sales or Account Management Ability to multitask and juggle several responsibilities simultaneously Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets and receiving positive customer feedback
