Key responsibilities
- Sawmill operations
- Full oversight of all sawmill operations, from log intake to final product output
- Drive production efficiency, quality, safety, and cost control
- Track, measure, and report all production outputs accurately
- Ensure operational discipline, maintenance planning, and continuous improvement
- Commercial integration
- Ensure clear alignment between sawmill output and the commercial side of the wider business
- Provide accurate, timely production data to support sales, forecasting, and planning
- Work closely with commercial leadership to maximize value and profitability
- Farm operations leadership
- Direct line management of farm managers
- Set direction and guide operations across:
- Beef production
- Macadamia orchards
- Forestry
- Ensure coherent planning, performance tracking, and disciplined execution across all farming units
- Leadership & accountability
- Build a strong, accountable management team
- Set clear priorities, targets, and operating rhythms
- Own budgets, performance outcomes, and delivery against plan
Experience & profile
Senior operations leadership experience (industrial, agricultural, forestry, or similar)
Strong commercial mindset with a solid grasp of numbers and performance metrics
Proven ability to lead managers and run multi-operation businesses
Practical, decisive, and comfortable taking ownershipSkills: Plant performance, Operational Deliveries, Commercial Management, Team building and leadership, Production and performance management
