About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical & Electrical Technician to join our team in Newcastle. As a Senior All-Rounder, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of equipment used in transport and manufacturing operations. You will work closely with management and operational teams to deliver results, and your technical expertise will be invaluable in troubleshooting and repairing complex systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Hands-on work across trucks, forklifts, mobile cranes, and production-related equipment
- Maintenance and repairs of equipment used in transport and manufacturing operations
- Standby duties, after-hours call-outs, weekend work when operationally required
- Ensuring equipment availability, reliability, and safety compliance
- Independent troubleshooting and practical problem-solving under pressure
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years senior, hands-on technical experience
- Strong exposure to 12V / 24V electrical systems
- Proven experience working on trucks, forklifts, and mobile cranes
- Forklift licence essential
- Valid truck licence essential
- Mobile crane licence highly advantageous
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic and fault-finding ability
Qualifications
- Completed relevant technical or vocational training (if applicable)
