Job Summary
Operations & Administration
- Ensure all trip documentation is forwarded to the debriefing hub during night shifts.
- Monitor vehicle tracking systems and provide timely updates to clients, sales reps, and the day shift team.
- Manage driver handovers for late evening routes.
- Maintain up-to-date driver lists and personnel files.
- Liaise with the day shift team to book and maintain the training matrix.
- Conduct PPE inspections for night shift drivers.
- Capture NMPI (Near Miss, Property damage, Incident) reports for the afternoon/evening shift.
- Distribute Toolbox Talks and ensure documentation is signed during the evening shift.
- Perform spot checks on vehicles during the night shift.
- Assist with capturing log sheets as required.
- Ensure thorough handovers are conducted between night and day shifts.
- Support Health & Safety initiatives as directed by the team lead (Kenny).
- Be available for weekend work according to a rotating schedule.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12).
- Logistics-related experience or education is advantageous.
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a logistics or transport environment.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficient in basic computer applications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Quick thinker with a solutions-driven mindset.
- Ability to stay calm and effective under pressure.
- A team-oriented individual with a proactive and hands-on approach.
- Capable of multitasking and meeting deadlines.
- Reliable and self-motivated, with excellent time management.
