About the Role

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a qualified and experienced Clinic Practitioner to join their team in Kathu, Northern Cape. As a Clinic Sister, you will be responsible for managing and operating a profitable Primary Health Care Clinic within the scope of practice of a registered nursing practitioner. You will be the face of our clinic, providing high-quality patient care and ensuring that all services are available to patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Clinic Sister duties according to industry regulations and standards
  • Manage the average feet-per-hour rate and set clinic objectives to enhance patient satisfaction
  • Ensure all clinic services are available at the specified hours and days of operation
  • Keep accurate records of patient details, including demographics, medical history, and treatment plans
  • Follow up on communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Process claims accurately and timeously according to industry standards
  • Maintain stock and equipment in a working condition, ensuring continuous service to patients
  • Build and maintain healthy relationships with patients, store and dispensary manager, colleagues, medical aids, suppliers, and key community stakeholders

Requirements

  • Grade 12 Matric
  • Tertiary qualification in General Nursing or Diploma in Midwifery
  • Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
  • Nursing practitioner must obtain BHF registration
  • 2-3 years experience practicing as a Primary Health Care Clinic Sister
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Qualifications

  • Completed General Nursing Degree or Diploma in Midwifery from a recognized tertiary institution
