About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head Housekeeper to join our team at a newly built private villa in Kurdistan, Iraq. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our housekeeping team to maintain the highest standards of luxury cleanliness and organization throughout the property. With a strong focus on discretion, confidentiality, and attention to detail, this role is ideal for an individual with a proven track record in luxury hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise daily/weekly cleaning schedules for all internal areas, ensuring consistent luxury-level standards and readiness whether family is in residence or not.
- Work hands-on when required to do so: detailed cleaning, care of luxury finishes, surfaces, artwork (with training), and specialist materials.
- Oversee laundry and wardrobe routines in coordination with the designated laundry/wardrobe housekeeper, including linens, towels and guest bedding rotation.
- Inspect rooms and back-of-house spaces, correcting defects, raising maintenance tickets, and following up until completion.
- Train, coach and performance-manage housekeepers, including cross-training into basic service and back-up roles for other departments.
- Manage housekeeping inventories, ordering supplies within agreed budgets and maintaining storerooms in an organized way.
- Collaborate closely with the Head Butler, Executive chef, Security Supervisor and Maintenance supervisor to coordinate schedules, deep cleans and event support.
Requirements
- 5-8+ Years in luxury hotels or UHNW households, including proven team-leading experience.
- Strong people management skills.
- Eye for detail and very high standards of discretion and confidentiality.
- Comfortable adapting to evolving SOPs as the Villa opens and operations are refined.
- Fluent English.
- Flexible with a team player attitude.
