Requirements:
- A BScAgric or BAgric Viticulture and Oenology (Stellenbosch University or Elsenburg Agricultural College)
- Must have relevant experience in a cellar
- Must have good wine knowledge
- Should be fluent in Afrikaans and English
- Should be a passionate team player with good interpersonal skills
- Must have a valid driving licence is a requirement
- Must be able to drive a forklift
- Should be able to work under pressure
- Must be available to work on weekends and public holidays when required (especially during harvest)
Responsibilities
- Assist the head winemaker with daily cellar activities to ensure that the best possible wines are produced.
- Manage the cellar team alongside the head winemaker.
- Perform quality and hygiene control.
- Responsible for administration regarding SAWIS, IPW certification, FSA audit, BMV and 5-S.
- Inventory control.
- Assist at wine fairs and festivals.
- Assist at wine club events.
- Handle competition entry administration.
- Any other wine-related activities.
