About the Role
Unspecified Employer seeks a qualified Millwright Team Lead to join their Paarl-based team. As a seasoned millwright with experience in manufacturing and fabrication environments, you will lead on-site technicians to deliver safe, high-quality, and productive work. Your strong welding and fabrication proficiency, combined with your leadership capabilities, will enable you to perform mechanical and electrical maintenance, installations, and PLC fault finding.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on-site technicians to deliver safe, high-quality, and productive work
- Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance, installations, and PLC fault finding
- Apply strong welding and fabrication proficiency in line with safety and quality standards
- Train and mentor team members while collaborating cross-functionally to improve processes and reduce costs
Requirements
- Minimum of five years experience as a qualified millwright within a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- At least two years experience in a supervisory or team lead role
- Strong working knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques
- Solid understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems
- Proven leadership capability with strong problem-solving and communication skills
Qualifications
- Millwright Trade Test (essential)
- Additional technical training or certifications advantageous
