Job Summary
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Head / Executive Chef for a prestigious luxury safari lodge located in the heart of Limpopo. This is a superb opportunity for a culinary professional who is passionate about creating exceptional dining experiences in a unique and inspiring bush environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the kitchen
-
Create and implement innovative menus in line with the lodges high standards
-
Ensure consistent preparation and presentation of dishes to the highest quality
-
Maintain strict hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards at all times
-
Manage kitchen stock levels and place orders as needed
-
Control food costs and minimise waste
-
Train, mentor and lead the kitchen team to achieve excellence
-
Work collaboratively with lodge management to ensure guest satisfaction
-
Cater to special dietary requirements and individual guest preferences
-
Maintain strong supplier relationships and quality control
Requirements:
-
A formal culinary qualification from a recognised institution
-
Minimum 35 years experience in a similar role, preferably in a luxury lodge or 5-star environment
-
Proven leadership skills and experience managing a team
-
Strong organisational and time management skills
-
High attention to detail and creativity in food presentation
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
-
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
-
Passion for hospitality, fine cuisine, and delivering memorable guest experiences
-
Computer literate with knowledge of stock systems and ordering platforms
-
Willingness to live and work in a remote bush location
