About the Role
The Factory Engineer will be responsible for overseeing factory maintenance, assets, and projects to ensure optimal plant efficiency, productivity, and quality. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial operations and a commitment to ensuring full compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage factory engineering projects, contractors, and on-site work.
- Oversee maintenance and construction programs to maximise plant uptime.
- Manage factory assets and contribute to budgeting processes.
- Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and applicable regulations.
- Oversee utilities and infrastructure across the plant, village, and hostel facilities.
- Support the achievement of optimal efficiency, productivity, and product quality.
- Lead and manage the performance of teams and subordinates.
Requirements
- A Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree (BEng/BSc Eng) with at least 2 years’ post-graduate experience in plant operation and maintenance (power generation capacity above 3000kW).
- Successful completion of the OSH Act examination through the Commission of Examiners; or
- A certified engineer with a Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) – Factories.
- Minimum of 5 years’ practical experience in an industrial plant, including boiler operations.
- At least 3 years’ experience managing a skilled maintenance team.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working with CAD.
