About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our team at Top Recruitment (Pty) Ltd in Pietermaritzburg. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing financial accounting and reporting, preparing annual financial statements and monthly management accounts, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Logistical and fleet management tasks
- Stores and stock management duties
- IT management responsibilities
- Import and export processes
- Procedure and controls systems implementation
- Ad-hoc projects and requests management
- Financial accounting and reporting preparation
- Monitor financial details to ensure compliance with legal requirements
- Supervise employees who handle financial reporting and budgeting
- Review financial reports and identify opportunities for cost reduction
- Financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- BBBEE management and audit preparation
- Tax and statutory compliance duties
- Risk management responsibilities
- Financial and investment planning
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Mathematics & Accounting an added advantage)
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting (essential)
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in Financial Management, Business or Operations Management with exposure to a similar role with the same responsibilities (essential)
- Manage a team of 10+ staff
- Strong analytical, communication verbal and written, and leadership skills
- Proficient with financial software, advanced Excel
Qualifications
- Grade 12 certificate (Mathematics & Accounting an added advantage)
