Job Summary
Well established firm of attorneys are looking for a Junior Attorney to join their team. Our client is looking for an individual that has recently completed their articles and is due to be admitted or preferably a junior attorney. Overview of role: Drafting summonses, applications, affidavits and other legal process Having affidavits attested Registering on, loading and effectively utilising CaseLines and Court Online to keep track of and monitor progress made in matters assigned Profiling and proceeding with legal action against juristic entities and sureties Conducting deceased estate and insolvency searches Corresponding with liquidators; trustees and executors Liaison with correspondent attorneys, the courts, sheriffs Providing opinions in relation to credit law and changes to legislation Responding to court queries Preparing reports ahead of meetings with debtors Ensuring that legal action against debtors is instituted when necessary Appearing in court when required to so Preparing briefs to counsel Drafting templates Dealing with post judgment accounts, including warrants of execution and bank account attachments.
