Pinetown: CNC Programmer

The CNC Programmer will be responsible for creating, optimizing, and troubleshooting CNC programs used in the manufacturing of frames and furniture components. The position requires close collaboration with technical, production, and design teams to ensure precise, efficient output. This role is suited to someone who enjoys hands-on problem-solving and continuous process improvement. The successful candidate will work alongside another programmer, contributing to workflow optimization. Key Responsibilities: Create and optimize CNC programs for woodworking machinery using CAD/CAM software Interpret technical drawings and translate them into production-ready CNC programs Support the manufacturing of frames and other furniture components Work closely with production teams to ensure efficient designs Troubleshoot and resolve programming and machining issues Collaborate with designers and technical staff to improve processes Maintain accurate documentation of CNC files, toolpaths, and settings Test and validate new programs on production equipment Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards Provide technical support during production Assist with machine setup and calibration Train operators on new CNC programs as required Identify areas for process and workflow optimization Contribute to team meetings and technical reviews Report on programming activities and progress Requirements Relevant qualification in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or similar Minimum 3 years experience in CNC programming, ideally within furniture or manufacturing Advanced experience with CAD/CAM software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar) Experience operating woodworking CNC machines Knowledge of frame making or furniture production (advantageous) Remuneration: R18 000 – R20 000 Cost to Company Only Shortlisted candidates will be contacted
