Job Summary
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire production process, ensuring that all operations are carried out efficiently and effectively.
- Manage the production of both temporary and permanent items.
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines.
- Establish and maintain quality control standards to ensure all products meet the required specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any quality issues.
- Lead and manage the production team, ensuring that all staff are working efficiently and productively.
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the skills of the production team.
- Ensure that all orders are processed and completed in a timely manner.
- Prepare and present regular reports on production statuses, including progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Respond to changes in production briefs and ensure that adjustments are made promptly and accurately.
- Maintain flexibility to accommodate urgent production needs and last-minute changes.
- Be actively present on the production floor, stepping in to assist with production tasks as needed.
- Ensure that production processes are running smoothly and address any issues that arise in real-time.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and logistics, to ensure seamless operations.
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure the availability of necessary materials.
- Implement and maintain health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Key Qualities:
- Proven experience in a production and operations management role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of production processes and quality control standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing production needs and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in production management software and tools.
Qualifications:
- Matric – Non-negotiable
- Relevant qualifications within Production Management would be advantageous
Monday – Friday: 7 am – 4 pm / 7.30 am – 4.30 pm
Remuneration: R35 000 – R40 000 CTC
