Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Duty Manager to oversee daily operations at a luxury private camp in Plettenberg Bay. This live-in role requires a hands-on, organised, and proactive individual who can ensure exceptional guest experiences and smooth lodge operations.

Position Overview

The Duty Manager is responsible for managing the lodge during their shift, supervising staff, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining the highest standards of guest service. The ideal candidate will be capable of problem-solving in real-time and delivering a seamless luxury experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily lodge operations during assigned shifts.

• Supervise, support, and motivate staff to deliver exceptional service.

• Ensure guest satisfaction and handle queries or complaints professionally.

• Maintain operational standards across all departments including Front Office, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and Maintenance.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.

• Monitor and manage stock usage and report any shortages or maintenance issues.

• Assist in staff training and development where required.

• Maintain clear communication with lodge management regarding operations, guest feedback, and issues requiring attention.

• Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a lodge, hotel, or luxury hospitality environment.

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Package

• Salary: R16,000, negotiable dependent on experience.
