Job Summary
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Lodge Manager for a prestigious luxury lodge located in the scenic Plettenberg Bay area. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in a five-star environment and is passionate about delivering world-class guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the daily operations of a luxury five-star lodge, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning at all times
-
Manage and lead a dedicated team of approximately 40 staff, with support and guidance from the Property General Manager
-
Maintain high levels of guest satisfaction through impeccable service and attention to detail
-
Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to uphold standards in elegant dining and fine wine service
-
Ensure accurate stock control, conduct monthly stock takes, and manage stock figures and gross profit reporting
-
Provide hands-on leadership while maintaining the lodges reputation for excellence and personalised guest experiences
Requirements:
-
Previous experience in a senior lodge or camp management role, preferably within a five-star establishment
-
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff
-
Demonstrated ability to manage day-to-day operations with a focus on guest satisfaction
-
Good knowledge of fine dining service standards and an appreciation for quality wines
-
Confident in managing inventory, stock controls, and financial reporting (GPs)
-
Exceptional attention to detail, organisational ability, and communication skills
