Hire Resolve`s Client, a reputable accounting firm in Knysna is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Bookkeeper to manage comprehensive bookkeeping functions. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial record-keeping, compliance with accounting standards, and support the firm`s financial operations.

Key

• Maintain accurate financial records up to the balance sheet.
• Process and reconcile cashbooks, customer, and supplier accounts.
• Prepare and process payroll journals and other necessary journal entries.
• Execute month-end reporting procedures and prepare relevant journals.
• Undertake sub-ledger reconciliations to the general ledger.
• Perform balance sheet substantiation with reconciliations.
• Assist in the billing process, including purchase orders and invoicing.
• Conduct inter-company reconciliations and confirmations.
• Analyze sub-ledgers, debtors aging, and creditors aging.
• Maintain and depreciate the fixed asset register.
• Support statutory audit processes and ensure compliance with internal controls.

• Minimum of 8 years experience in all bookkeeping functions, preferably within the auditing/accounting industry.
• Understanding of accounting principles and VAT regulations.
• Experience in bookkeeping functions up to the balance sheet.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel) and accounting software such as Pastel Accounting, Sage One, Xero, and Sage Pastel Payroll.
• Attention to detail, service-oriented, and ability to work under pressure.
