About the Role
The Kitchen Manager position is a senior leadership role in our professional kitchen environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service. We are seeking an experienced and skilled candidate to manage our kitchen operations, ensure excellent food quality, and maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage kitchen staff and ensure effective team leadership
- Plan menus, prepare recipes, and supervise food preparation
- Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness, organization, and equipment maintenance
- Monitor and control kitchen stock levels, ordering supplies, and managing inventory
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Supervise cash handling and maintain accurate records of kitchen financials
Requirements
- 35 years of experience in a professional kitchen environment
- At least 12 years in a supervisory or management role
- Strong understanding of kitchen equipment, food preparation, and menu planning
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
- Ability to handle pressure and maintain high standards
- Knowledge of food costing and kitchen financials
Qualifications
- Diploma in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field (preferred)
- Food Safety and Hygiene certification
- Valid health and safety training/certification advantageous
