Responsibilities:
Assist with Customer Deliveries: Support the coordination of timely and efficient customer deliveries, ensuring a smooth process. Administrative Support: Help maintain and manage various administrative functions for the yard. Team Support: Assist the Yard Supervisor in motivating, guiding, and developing staff to ensure the yard operates effectively. Forklift Maintenance Assistance: Support the team in ensuring forklifts are in good working condition by checking oil, water, and mechanical components. Attendance Tracking: Help monitor and manage staff attendance, ensuring there are no disruptions in yard operations. Customer Service: Provide excellent service to customers driving into the yard, ensuring their needs are attended to. Compliance Support: Ensure all yard activities are carried out in compliance with legal and safety regulations. Discrepancy Reporting: Report any discrepancies or issues to the Yard Supervisor or management promptly. Roster Assistance: Help manage staff rosters, ensuring coverage for weekends and public holidays. Stock Management: Assist in the accurate and efficient management of yard stock, including regular stock checks. Physical Inspections: Assist with checking stock and delivery vehicles leaving the yard to ensure proper loading and accuracy. Promote Company Culture: Uphold the companys values and culture, assisting the Yard Supervisor in maintaining a harmonious work environment. Preferred Candidate
Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience in a similar role, with a desire to grow in a supervisory position. A Technical qualification or Diploma is preferred. Basic computer skills required.
