COAL-FIRED BOILER OPERATOR / PORT ELIZABETH Role Purpose : The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the efficient, safe, and reliable operation of the boilers and associated equipment. Key responsibilities include monitoring boiler systems, performing maintenance and repairs, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and optimizing performance to meet operational demands. Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent or certification in coal boiler operation Previous experience as a boiler operator or in a similar role in an industrial setting. Relevant certifications, such as a Boiler Operator License, may be required Key Performance Areas: Operation and Monitoring: Maintenance and Repairs: Safety and Compliance: Performance Optimization: Emergency Response: Documentation and Reporting: Skills and Qualifications: In-depth understanding of coal-fired boiler operations, combustion processes, and related equipment. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues efficiently. Meticulous in monitoring systems and maintaining accurate records. Proficiency in performing maintenance and repairs on complex machinery. Strong knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
