Requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12 (minimum).

• Qualified Artisan (N5) – Trade Test.

• Diploma in Electrical / Electronic / Mechatronics Engineering.

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

• Strong knowledge of automated manufacturing equipment (including PLCs and robotics).

• A good understanding of quality requirements in a manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical manuals.

• Ability to perform fault-finding and root cause analysis on electrical systems.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily planned and preventative maintenance on electrical and automated systems.

• Coordinate with production teams to schedule maintenance without disrupting operations.

• Ensure all electrical components and parts are available in time for scheduled work.

• Perform diagnosis and root cause analysis on equipment failures.

• Implement corrective actions to eliminate recurring electrical faults.

• Maintain accurate records of downtime, faults, and corrective actions taken.

• Provide support to production on electrical issues and process improvements.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure equipment is operating to quality standards.

• Use and maintain statistical process charts to monitor equipment performance.

• Ensure workplace adheres to safety, housekeeping, and compliance standards at all times.
