About the Role

The Talent Room is seeking an experienced IT Technician to join our team in Port Elizabeth. As a key member of our IT support team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems, networks, and equipment. If you have a passion for technology and excellent problem-solving skills, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Installed, configured, and maintained computer hardware, software, networks, printers, and scanners.
Monitored IT systems and networks to ensure optimal performance.
Responded promptly to technical support requests and resolved hardware and software issues.
Performed routine maintenance, updates, and system backups.
Set up user accounts, profiles, and access permissions.
Maintained accurate records of IT equipment and software licenses.
Ensured compliance with data security, privacy, and backup procedures.
Assisted with IT projects, system upgrades, and network improvements.
Documented IT procedures, incidents, and resolutions.
Liaised with external vendors and service providers as required.

Requirements

Grade 12
Diploma or Qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in IT support or technician roles.
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, N+, Microsoft, or equivalent are advantageous.
