Our client in the Engineering Services industry based in Perseverance, Port Elizabeth, is looking to employ a Mechanical Engineer to their team.

Requirements:

• BEng Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years relevant working experience in the mechanical engineering industry.
• Knowledge of electrical systems integration and controls essential.
• Exposure to refrigeration systems design or maintenance advantageous.
• Proven involvement in project management (planning, execution, budgeting, timelines).
• Experience in pipe design, including layout, stress analysis, and specification.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical systems for commercial and industrial applications.
• Prepare detailed mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Conduct site inspections, feasibility studies, and equipment selection.
• Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
• Manage and monitor project timelines and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with engineering codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Participate in commissioning, troubleshooting, and performance testing.
• Maintain detailed documentation and reporting.
