About the Role

PerformIT Personnel is seeking a seasoned Senior Chartered Accountant / Consolidation Manager to join their team in Port Elizabeth. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial consolidation process across various entities and subsidiaries. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, while also maintaining compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the sub-consolidation process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for the entire organization
Consolidate financial statements, intercompany eliminations, and reconciliations
Prepare and analyse consolidated financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
Provide detailed financial analysis and insights to senior management and stakeholders
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal control procedures
Continuously evaluate and improve financial reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Collaborate with various stakeholders, including senior executives, business unit leaders, and external auditors
Communicate financial results, explain variances, and provide recommendations for improving financial performance

Requirements

Qualified CA(SA)
Minimum of 8 years of experience in finance, with a focus on group consolidations and financial reporting
Strong technical skills in accounting principles, financial consolidation methodologies, and reporting standards (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP)
Proficiency in using financial consolidation software
Advanced Excel skills
Analytical and strategic thinking
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically to support decision-making
