About the Role

PerformIT Personnel is seeking a seasoned Senior Chartered Accountant / Consolidation Manager to join their team in Port Elizabeth. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial consolidation process across various entities and subsidiaries. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, while also maintaining compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the sub-consolidation process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for the entire organization
  • Consolidate financial statements, intercompany eliminations, and reconciliations
  • Prepare and analyse consolidated financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Provide detailed financial analysis and insights to senior management and stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal control procedures
  • Continuously evaluate and improve financial reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including senior executives, business unit leaders, and external auditors
  • Communicate financial results, explain variances, and provide recommendations for improving financial performance

Requirements

  • Qualified CA(SA)
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in finance, with a focus on group consolidations and financial reporting
  • Strong technical skills in accounting principles, financial consolidation methodologies, and reporting standards (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP)
  • Proficiency in using financial consolidation software
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Analytical and strategic thinking
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically to support decision-making
