About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for guiding the development of program specifications, overseeing testing efforts, and leading programmers. You will also be responsible for all development-related activities within the organisation and ensuring the quality of solutions and code delivered to our client.
Key Responsibilities
- Accomplish programming project requirements by coaching programmers
- Serve as a senior development resource on assigned projects, developing applications using known & proven best coding practices
- Meet programming standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying work process improvements; implementing new technology
- Maintain, expand & improve in-house libraries used across all projects
- Continuously works to improve internal coding standards, in line with current development best practices
- Plan programming projects by confirming program objective and specifications with clients
- Arrange program specifications by confirming logical sequence and flowcharts, researching and employing established operations
- Verify program operation by confirming tests
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks
- Accomplish department and organization mission by completing related results as needed

- National Diploma in information technologies or Equivalent
