About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Debtors & Creditors Clerk to support the Finance and Administrative functions of TWO growing businesses in Pretoria East. The half-day role offers strong potential to evolve into a full-time position as operations scale, providing a unique opportunity for career growth and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Issue invoices where applicable
- Allocate customer payments accurately
- Manage debtor follow-ups and statements
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain clean and accurate debtor aging
- Capture and process supplier invoices
- Match invoices to delivery notes and purchase records
- Prepare supplier reconciliations prior to payment
- Load supplier payments on the bank for approval
- Resolve supplier queries and discrepancies
- Prepare and reconcile payment batches before approval
- Ensure correct allocation of payments prior to release
- Assist with bank reconciliations
- Maintain strong financial controls and audit trails
- Assist in building and documenting finance processes
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements
- Support the implementation of improved controls and workflows
- Assist with stock counts and inventory reconciliations when required
- Support inventory-related admin and variance checks
- Provide general administrative support as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Debtors and Creditors / Accounts Clerk role
- Solid understanding of reconciliations, allocations, and payment processes
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
